As founder and chief executive officer of Magruder Laser Vision, Dr. G. Brock Magruder Jr. played a crucial role in bringing advanced laser vision treatment to Central Florida. Under his strategic direction, the practice has grown to include a full spectrum of vision correction services.

Even though “Doc Brock” is retired from clinical practice, he’s always focused on delivering better eye health through innovative digital technology and the highest levels of service and patient care. He’s confident, empathetic approach puts patients at ease, and the Magruder Laser Vision team follows his lead by focusing on each patient’s comfort and personal preferences.
Born in New York City and raised in the Orlando area, Dr. Magruder attended Emory College, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry in 1981 and his M.D. in 1985. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine and his residency in Ophthalmology, also at Emory, while also serving as Chief Resident during his final year.
Dr. Magruder returned to Orlando and joined his father, Dr. G. Brock Magruder, Sr., in private practice to form the Magruder Eye Institute. In 1996, he launched his practice to specialize in Refractive Surgery solutions.
