More Options – Customized to You
Every patient is different. That’s why we offer both IV and oral sedation—so your care is personalized.
- No needles – greater comfort for patients who prefer to avoid IVs.
- Fewer side effects – oral sedation has a lower risk of nausea and other IV-related issues.
- Tailored experience – sedation customized to your needs and health.

What Our Patients Choose
Over the past five years, we have performed nearly 10,000 cataract surgeries. An overwhelming 95% of our patients chose oral sedation over IV sedation.

A Spa-Like Experience
Our goal is to transform cataract surgery into a smooth, relaxing experience—more like a day at the spa than a trip to a hospital.
By offering both oral and IV sedation, we can create a surgical experience that is both comfortable and reassuring, designed around your preferences.

Fewer Side Effects
While IV sedation is effective, it can sometimes cause nausea, vomiting, bruising, or bleeding at the IV site.
Oral sedation provides excellent relaxation with a much lower chance of these side effects, making it the preferred choice for most patients.

Patient Selection
Most patients are excellent candidates for IV-free cataract surgery. However, there are exceptions.
- Patients with very advanced cataracts
- Patients requiring complex surgery
- Patients with severe heart or lung conditions
In these cases, your surgeon may recommend IV sedation with monitored anesthesia care for maximum safety.
